Jordan Purcell
Executive Director
Jordan Purcell is a 23-year Veteran and retired Master Sergeant of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, with 21 years of Active Service. During most of his career, Jordan operated as a Combat Medic, in roles that included Patient Administrator, Medical Readiness, Clinical Healthcare Coordinator, and Senior Vocational Instructor at various echelons. Jordan also spent more than two years as a Budget Management Analyst at the premier Eastern Army National Guard Aviation Training Site, Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA. During his tenure, Jordan was charged with the acquisition, obligation, and documentation of all business processes across five departments. Jordan holds a Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Management Level 3 certification.
Although Jordan's career focused primarily on physical fitness and pre-hospital care, his true calling has always been behavioral health and mental wellness. Over the past decade, Jordan acted as a LivingWorks Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) instructor, as well as a Suicide Intervention Officer at many of his duty locations. Passionate about "Hunting the Good Stuff", Jordan is versed in the University of Pennsylvania's Master Resilience Training program. Incorporating these topics, Jordan headed workshops and seminars for servicemembers and contractors across many U.S. Armed Forces branches, as well as law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency response personnel.
Jordan currently lives in Harrisburg, PA, and is a graduate of Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, PA. Jordan is also a proud two-time alumnus of Liberty University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2014 and his Master of Science in Healthcare Administration in 2023.
As the Executive Director since July of 2025, leading the Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania team, Jordan is devoted to enriching the lives and well-being of the Participants, Staff, and Volunteers, broadening the breadth and depth of the VOPA Mission.
