Harrisburg, PA — Tiny homes are hoping to make a huge difference to combat homelessness in the City of Harrisburg. A project broke ground today that will soon benefit the brave men and women who served our country.

“It really took a team effort. If I didn't have that support, I would probably be struggling right now,” said Jordan Ames, Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania Executive Director.

Despite finding success after a 21-year military career, retired Marine Major Jordan Ames knows the struggles of returning to civilian life. To help ease the burden, Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania is building Veterans Grove.

“Veteran homelessness is our failure as a society,” said Mayor Wanda Williams, (D) Harrisburg.
