Chair

William “Bill” Reed has over 18 years of experience engaging with Veterans who are at-risk or experiencing homelessness to include managing programs and leading teams dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness in our community. He has served as a consultant, contributor, and educator in support of programs and initiatives focused on meeting the needs of Veterans on critical issues such as housing, employment, combating barriers, and accessing benefits and services.

As a 26 Year Veteran of the United States Navy, Bill served in numerous roles to include deployments in support of multiple contingency and expeditionary operations. He retired as a Master Chief Photographers’ Mate (ESWS/EAWS), in 2006 from the Defense Information School, Fort Meade, Maryland where he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commandant. Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Maryland, University College and a Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University. Bill currently resides in New Bloomfield, PA with his wife, Amy.

As a member of the Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania Team, Bill serves to ensure that organization Mission goals align with VOPA’s Vision, restoring trust and creating opportunity, one Veteran at a time. This will be accomplished through the development and implementation of the best practices and services that meet the needs of those who served in our Armed Forces.
