Treasurer

Benjamin (Ben) Lipschutz is a United States Army veteran with a background in training and management. He is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in higher education and business with knowledge in operations, strategic planning, and industry experience to deliver cutting-edge instruction and operational success. Ben acts as a mission-oriented leader focused on enhancing the educational experience of individuals through learning via technology, learner-centered design, and a structured, supportive environment.

After being medically retired from the service due to an injury incurred overseas, he started a second career in academics, teaching computer, business, and career education. Ben utilizes his unique military and professional background in the classroom setting by creating engaging and innovative experiences for students through both on-ground and online formats. He has taught courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, economics, finance, international business, organizational leadership, international business, insurance, investments, information management systems, and entrepreneurship. He has held the positions of Instructor, Program Director, Chair, and, most recently, Dean of the School of Business and Professional Studies at Central Penn College. Ben’s research to date has focused on student learning processes and how e-learning platforms can help narrow the achievement gap of students.

Ben is committed to giving back to the community and currently serves on several boards to include Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania, the Central Penn College Education Foundation, the East Pennsboro Education Foundation, Marysville VFW Post 882, and was previously State Chairman for Patriot’s Pen for the Department of Pennsylvania VFW.

Ben earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Central Penn College, and he went on to earn a BS in Business Education, an MBA, and a Masters in Special Education, all from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate of the Fox School of Business, Temple University. He also holds Pennsylvania State Teaching Certifications in Computer/Business Education and Special Education.
