Valerie Fletcher

Val is the co-founder and the Vice President for Veterans Outreach of Pennsylvania. Val was raised in a military family; she and her siblings were born while her father was active duty for 22.5 years with the United States Air Force. Her formative years were spent living on military bases and she has a passion for serving veterans who have sacrificed greatly for our freedoms.

Val earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Counselor Education from Millersville University. For over 30 years, she has served those in need within her community, holding various roles such as crisis intervention worker, intensive in-home family therapist, child grief specialist, and volunteer coordinator, to name a few. She brings compassion and commitment to the individuals she serves and believes in empowering people to make a difference in their communities.

Val’s role for the Veterans Outreach organization is to coordinate the grant writing process and to oversee the daily activities of the community, utilizing her professional experience to meet the needs of our residents.
